As a LEED Gold® Certified facility, when you host your event with us you can relax knowing sustainability is our priority. Our Center lives under a 4-acre green rooftop that makes up our outdoor space, more commonly known as Mall B and Mall C. In addition, if you look over our ballroom level ledge you will discover our on-site farm comprised of livestock, seasonal greens, herbs, veggies, eggs, and honey. Throughout the year, we are hard at work growing a plethora of different flowers, veggies and herbs. The best part? The produce grown and harvested from our farm goes straight into our menus, creating a memorable farm to table experience. When Levy is not working on the farm, they can be found sourcing from local, organic, hormone-free and antibiotic-free farms like The Chef’s Garden and partnering with Cleveland’s West Side Market.
This is just scratching the surface. The Center features an onsite Grind2Energy system that converted 25,000 lbs. of food scraps into energy in 2023. Our eight water re-fill stations throughout the building have replaced 57,155 plastic bottles annually. The Center also has a smart lighting control system that uses daylight harvesting to cut back on energy use.
We are not only worried about our environmental impact but our social impact as well. After the events are over, we partner with clients to donate materials left behind. 10,000 lbs. of materials were accumulated post-event and donated to nonprofits like Habitat for Humanity in 2023. Levy has also partnered with the coffee vendor Change Please Coffee. 100% of profits go into giving people experiencing homelessness a living-wage job, housing, training, onwards opportunities — and a fresh shot at a life. of As of 2024, HCCC is proud to be a designated GOLD status Breastfeeding Friendly Workplace.
