    Teaching and Learning Clinical Reasoning Across Time for: Early Warnings, Making a Clinical Case, and Developing Habits of Thinking and Action.

    Join us for an in-depth discussion on the need for a more highly educated nursing workforce and the recommended changes. Dr. Benner is revisiting the topic five years after she and her team at the Carnegie Foundation for Advancement in Teaching first reported on the issue.

    Dr. Benner will be signing copies of her books "Educating Nurses: A Call for Radical Transformation" and "Clinical Wisdom in Acute and Critical Care: A Thinking-in-Action Approach." Books of Aurora will be on-site selling books. There will be opportunities for self-guided tours of the healthcare exhibits at the Global Center for Health Innovation before and after the lecture.;

    Britton Gallagher will gather a panel of experts for a discussion on special event crisis preparation and risk management at the Global Center for Health Innovation on May 20, 2015 from 7:30 a.m. to 9:15 a.m.

    Joe Pulizzi, founder of the Content Marketing Institute and Content Marketing World, will moderate the panel, the Event Planner’s Guide to Crisis and Risk Management. Expert panelists include Meredith Scerba, of the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission, Matt Barkett, of Dix & Eaton and Lowery Robinson of Specialty Insurance Group.

    The panel discussion, which is free and open to the public, will begin with registration and breakfast at 7:30 a.m. with the event beginning at 8:00 a.m. Pulizzi, who’s Content Marketing World conference is the largest in-person content marketing event in the world, will lead the panel on topics including why risk management is essential to event planning along with steps event planners, marketers and other event organizers can take to reduce exposures and what to do in the case a crisis occurs.
